Docklands/Newbury Park Memo- March 2008
Congratulations to our students (Roxanne Nauth-Misir, Daniel Small & Jordan da Costa) selected for the GB squad for the World Championships later this year in Germany:-. Roxanne is preparing to compete full contact in Switzerland this month along with Daniel who is fighting in the clicker system. We also had a small amount of students represent us in the National Kata Championships in. Sempai Alex Small, Daniel Small and Jordan da Costa made up a team that came second in the junior high-grade section (black/brown belts). >
Training Fee Increase - Just to remind everyone that we have increased the training fees. It has been 6yrs since we have had to change them and along the way we have absorbed larger rents, insurance and competition entry fee's. The new costs will be £4 for kids and £6 for adults. We hope that by not charging students competition entry fees & separate club membership charges as other dojos do, that we continue to give value for money and apologise for any hardship the change may bring to some.
March Club gradings:
Tuesday 18th @ Newbury Park dojo (Goodmayes)- starting at 7:30pm sharp.
Saturday 29th March @ Docklands starting at 10am.
All students must have an up-to-date license, clean gi with badges and pads. Fee's upto 3rd kyu (£10), 2nd kyu (£15) & 1st kyu (£20). Punctuality is part of the grading. As usual no spectators are allowed. Do start preparing now if you have plans to participate. You can print off the requirements from the docklands website and write notes besides the terminology to help you learn the syllabus. Also, make sure you ask to be shown anything that we have not covered during weeks leading up to the grading.
