When entering or leaving the Dojo (way place), it is courteous
to say Osu and bow.
(
The term Osu should also be used as an acknowledgement during
training).
- No
Swearing or bad behaviour is allowed.
- Blackbelts
should be addressed by their titles ie: Sempai, Sensei or Shihan.
- Nails
on the hands and feet should be cut as short as possible to avoid
injuries to yourself or your partner during sparring/training.
- No
Jewellery should be worn, as again it is a potential hazard to
both you and other students.
- Hair
should be tied back with a soft band not clips.
- Mobile
phones should be turned off unless absolutely necessary. In this
case please inform the instructor.
- If
you are going to be absent from training for a period of time,
it is courteous to inform the instructor.
- If
you are late for training then you must wait in seiza until
you are invited to join the class.
