What is Kyokushin?
Kyokushin (極真) is a style of karate originating in Japan created by the late Sosai Masutatsu Oyama (d.1994). It is a style of stand-up fighting and is rooted in a philosophy of self-improvement, discipline, and hard training.

Sosai Mas Oyama requested the late Hanshi Steve Arneil (d. 2021) to go to the United Kingdom to establish Kyokushin karate. We thank Hanshi Steve Arneil (now 10th dan) for his effort, deep passion and knowledge.

Today, Kyokushin Karate is known for its intense training, high level of physical fitness, and its focus on developing strong character and mental discipline alongside martial arts skills.
